Brianna Macdonald is ready to go for the gold at K&P!

June 24, 2021

K&P is truly a place where talents from diverse backgrounds come together to co-create. Our team is composed of biologists, psychologists, philosophers, accountants, criminologists, lawyers… and of course communicators! But we are excited to officially welcome our very first Olympic-caliber athlete!

Brianna Macdonald, a super talented student-athlete, is joining us this summer as an intern in the Toronto office. While she pursues a degree in communications: business application with an architecture minor from the University of New Hampshire, she has impressed us with her research and analytic skills and with how quickly she has fit in with our multi-talented team.

We asked Brianna a few questions to learn more about her multiple interests – and now, with fingers crossed, have another reason to route for Canada for Alpine Skiing at the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022.

What do you love the most about PR?

I love PR because it enables me to utilize my creativity and adaptability. Throughout this internship, I have had the opportunity to work with the talented members of K&P. This has shown me the importance of marketing strategies, an active presence online and a strong brand reputation.

What might people be surprised to learn about you?

I am on the “long list” to represent Canada at the Beijing Olympics 2022 for Alpine Skiing

What are three things you cannot live without?

I love a big cup of coffee, a good book and the ability to do something active outdoors.

What do you love the most about Toronto?

I grew up in Toronto and it wasn’t until I left to attend school in rural Vermont that I appreciated the city. There is so much Toronto has to offer: its culture, environment, opportunities and especially the people. I recently learned that in 2015, Toronto was ranked as one of the world’s best places to live!

What’s the last book you read?

I just recently finished Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX and the Quest for a Fantastic Future. I recommend this book to everyone now; it was a super interesting and eye-opening read.

Where would your dream trip take you?

Australia!! It has everything. You can go adventure on the beach, walk around a city, hike a mountain – and even go skiing! Hopefully one day I will make it there.

Of course, we hope Brianna gets to go to Beijing first!
