C’est un plaisir to meet Charlotte Matte!

June 22, 2021

Charlotte Matte took a break from her studies in public relations at UQAM, where she will be graduating from in 2022, to join us this summer as an intern in our Montreal office.

Fully bilingual, Charlotte’s talent and passion for everything PR makes her a perfect fit for our always lively work culture, and her curiosity and eagerness to learn shine brightly. She joined us on June 1st but she has fit in so well, it feels like she has been a part of our team for months!

But there is always something to learn so we got a chance to know Charlotte better through our traditional welcome questionnaire:

What do you love the most about PR?

What I love the most about public relations is that no workday is the same. Every day is a new challenge and I get to connect with a lot of different people in divergent industries, simultaneously, which makes the job so interesting!

Do you have any secret talents?

Baking is my secret talent. It can be a cake, a pie, muffins or cookies… I just love making desserts! (Look out Joyce and Keera!)

What does your ideal Saturday look like?

Spending quality time with the people I love the most, my friends and family.

What TV series are you into right now?

I can easily binge-watch every crime series. “Marcella” on Netflix is one of the best I have recently watched.

What does your playlist look like?

I enjoy every kind of music! But I do have a thing for new disco and indie dance.

What’s the last book you read?

Manikanetish by Naomi Fontaine, is a French Canadian true story about the First Nations. The author based the book on her own experiences on an Indian reserve as an Indigenous woman herself.  It’s a very simple book but filled with hope and humanity. I recommend it if you are looking for something to read during National Indigenous History Month.

Where would your dream trip take you?

To Australia! I need to go there for so many reasons. Its nature and wildlife fascinate me. It’s the perfect road trip destination, the people seem so nice and the beaches look amazing.
