With a fascination for PR and fencing – please welcome out newest Montreal intern, Emma!

August 10, 2022

Not long ago, our brilliant team in Montreal welcomed the very talented Emma Fontayne, who joined as a student intern from the Université de Montréal. With a background in public relations, Emma is also a gifted and fearless competitor following her experience as a fencing champion. We are thrilled to introduce everyone to Emma as she supports of Montreal team this summer. In traditional K&P fashion, we asked Emma a few questions to get to know her more:

What do you love the most about PR?

The multidisciplinary nature of the tasks to be done. I’m a real live wire who is always looking for new approaches, new subjects, new activities. I love chatting with others and I am excited to build relationships with reporters.

What are you looking forward to in your new role at K&P?

Learning! I think there is always room to grow in any situation! Through K&P I hope learn a lot about the agency life and understand more about the different business areas. This team has already taught be so much and I am excited to see myself grow through the experience of the rest of the team.

Do you have any secret talents?

I have been fencing for 17 years now! I even did sport-study in high school for it. I am a high-level fencer in France and I continue to train in Montreal with the national team. For the past three years, I have had the opportunity to compete against the best female fencers in the country. I was thrilled to win the Quebec championship and to come in 3rd at the national championship in Toronto this year!

Who inspires you?

Everyone and no one at the same time. No big historical or public figures, just strangers who pass or remain in my life and make me evolve. I find that these people have much more impact and influence on who I am and what I want to do.

What do you love the most about Montréal?

The multiculturalism, friendliness and open-mindedness of Montrealers, plus the green spaces and vegetarian food!

What TV series are you into right now?

Very unoriginal, but I’m totally into Stranger Things (but I’m a little scared)!

Where would your dream trip take you?

In New Zealand, with a border-collie for lots of love and adventure, in a van through a small country offering sumptuous landscapes between green nature and beaches, where sport and equal rights seem to be at the centre of minds, culture and politics. Not too many beasts if possible!

Bienvenue, Emma! We are pleased to have you join our agency and can’t wait to see you grow.
