Estefanía (Stef) Lovera Marín joined our Montreal office earlier this year. Prior to joining K&P, Stef worked as social media manager and content specialist for a couple of well-known organizations in Canada, after finishing her B.A. in Communications and Media Studies from Concordia University.
Her sense of humour and warm heart have definitely won ours, and her discipline and commitment to excellence have kept the newer members of our Quebec team inspired knowing that when you work hard, there is always a reward for your team and clients.
We shared with Stef some of the questions of our ‘Get to know you’ questionnaire and are excited you get to learn about her personality.
What do you love the most about PR?
One day you’re doing media relations and the next, you’re redesigning a website, coming up with social media strategies and coordinating influencer campaigns. Every day is so different and stimulating!
Tell us about the moment you decided you wanted to be in PR?
I wanted to work in a challenging industry where I could deepen my knowledge in many areas of communications at once. I knew PR was the way to go because in this industry, you learn as you do, and you wear multiple hats all the time!
What might people be surprised to learn about you?
I know a little bit of Serbo-Croatian, I ADORE taking photos of things, mostly of my dog but also of flowers, nature and buildings (just so you have an idea, I have close to 30,000 pics on my camera roll). Also, I moved from Venezuela to Canada, alone, when I was 18.
Who inspires you?
My mom, for her creativity and curious mind; my dad, for his resilience, relentless determination to achieve his dreams and learn new things; my sister, for her generosity and perseverance; my partner, for his emotional intelligence and devotion; and my dog, for her affectionate soul and her ability to bring joy into people’s lives.
What do you love the most about Montreal?
The people. Montrealers are so diverse, laid back, compassionate, community-oriented and giving. I also love their conviction towards protecting the environment, keeping a healthy work-life balance and supporting local businesses at all times, but particularly during the pandemic.
What’s the last book you read?
Essentialism – The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown.
Where would your dream trip take you?
To a beautiful, warm and deserted island with white sand beaches and crystalline water (think Aruba, Maldives, Tahiti, Bali, Australia or Bora Bora).
We are loving how our team keeps growing with diverse talent and backgrounds, and can’t wait to introduce our newest VP as well as Toronto interns, in the next weeks.
