We’re excited to welcome our newest intern, Kaylee Cochrane, to our team. Kaylee joined us just a few short weeks ago and in that time, she has quickly demonstrated proactivity, curiosity, dedication and enthusiasm for PR and the work we do. In addition to working with KLC, Kaylee’s also currently enrolled in her fourth year of an Honours Arts undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo, which explains her scary-good multitasking and time management skills. We’re so impressed with the energy Kaylee brings that we took her through our welcome questionnaire to solve the mystery of what makes her so good. And, as it turns out, she’s quite the Type A personality with interests in art, animals and adventure.
What do you love most about PR?
I love that you can connect with all kinds of people through PR and build networks in a meaningful way. I also really love that you can learn from the variety of sectors you get the chance to work in. It’s common to find yourself working on something new each day and I find the opportunity to become involved in many different industries makes the work much more interesting.
What TV series are you into right now?
I just started watching “The Haunting” to get more into spooky October vibes and I really like it! They first came out with “The Haunting of Hill House” followed by “The Haunting of Bly Manor” and to compare the two, the former is scarier! I highly recommend for anyone that is into supernatural and horror TV drama.
What does your ideal Saturday look like?
My ideal Saturday would include going out for breakfast (I could literally eat breakfast meals all day) and engaging in something active such as hiking or running to start my day. I would also find myself catching up with friends or family I haven’t seen in a while (of course, those plans are on hold now due to COVID-19), or exploring something new – whether that be a hiking trail, a new food spot or a new shop.
Where would your dream trip take you?
I would love to travel the world someday, so I have a lot of dream trips in mind! To name one, I would love to go to French Polynesia to visit the South Pacific islands of Bora Bora or Tahiti. I’ve always loved tropical locations for the beaches, culture, food and wildlife – and I love being close to the ocean. Bora Bora is considered one of the purest places on earth and I think it would be amazing to see first-hand all the beauty it holds.
What are three things you cannot live without?
– Animals – I especially love dogs, they are always so full of love!
– Iced chai tea lattes – I might have a slight obsession.
– Adventures – I enjoy exploring new places and I am always down for a road trip.
We’re thrilled Kaylee didn’t get spooked in her first weeks of work at KLC. Totally the opposite: she’s doing an amazing job and we’re happy she’s loving the KLC life.
