Intro:
Launched in 1998, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs.
The brief:
In addition to an ongoing PR mandate, Royal LePage sought K&P’s help to rejuvenate the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation’s efforts to spread awareness about domestic violence and raise funds through their annual National Garage Sale for Shelter events.
The outcome:
K&P helped to develop and execute a simple, bilingual, national, grassroots media relations strategy, which focused on developing local angles for target media. As a result, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation earned more than 175 million media impressions and 237 media hits, in outlets across the country. Since this campaign in 2009, over $2.5 million has been raised through the National Garage Sale for Shelter.
