Working closely with our national offices (Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver), you will collaborate on national and Québec projects, as well as advise and manage public relations programs for a wide variety of clients across our different agency practices, including retail, tourism, lifestyle, and professional services clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing communication strategies, in supporting and coordinating client projects, in media and influencer relations (French-speaking), drafting social media copy, adapting communication documents from English to French, and coordinating media and influencer events. You will have the ability to demonstrate your strengths in: integrating and adapting international anglophone consumer brands’ PR activities in Francophone markets, media relations specifically for lifestyle, tourism and consumer brands, supporting spokespeople and business leaders in their media speaking opportunities (interviews, press conferences) and demonstrating a good understanding of corporate key messages.
What your role will look like:
- Coordinate the implementation of innovative and strategic programs that deliver measurable results.
- Establish and maintain strong and trusted relationships with teams and media.
- Write and translate from English to French strategic client documentations, including press releases, Q&As, fact sheets, speaking points, media backgrounders, web content, etc.
- Support the teams in meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Deliver monitoring and measurement reports for client projects.
What you’re good at:
- Post-secondary degree and two or more years of experience in a public relations agency.
- Ability to write French copy, and, if necessary, adapt from English to French (native Francophone speaker, studies in French and a good knowledge of linguistics are assets).
- English: Professional proficiency.
- Media relations experience.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Digital/social media savvy.
- Experience coordinating integrated communication programs, including local adaption for global brands.
