Supporting a culture of recognition with ADP Canada

Our client, ADP Canada, hosted its second annual Employee Recognition contest on social media earlier this month. The campaign was created to celebrate employees across Canada on Instagram (we love a fun contest!). From March 3-10, 2023, employees across the country were invited to recognize and appreciate colleagues for their positive impact within the workplace.

The inaugural Employee Recognition contest took place in 2022, shortly after the launch of ADP Canada’s Instagram page, which has since grown to more organic followers. This year, our team was excited to continue supporting on both strategy and execution for round two. As an annually recurring campaign corresponding with National Employee Recognition Day, the response has been extremely rewarding to see and be a part of.

The 2023 Contest

Why Instagram? Instagram remains a platform of choice for many Canadians, across different demographics. This informed our strategy to limit the contest entries to Instagram while continuing to promote across other social platforms that bring the audience back to Instagram.

How it worked: Leading up to campaign launch, our team curated strategic posts on employee recognition and retention to create organic curiosity around this theme. This helped lay the foundation and spark the audience’s appetite so that come launch day, Canadian employees felt compelled to participate in the contest. The call-to-action was to follow ADP Canada’s Instagram page, like the contest post and tag a colleague in the comments for the chance to win a prize.

Influencer Relations

In addition to organic and paid social posts, we enlisted several influencers this year to propel our success even further. We had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing B2B influencers who all align perfectly with ADP Canada’s core values and target audience. The influencers posted a variety of custom reels, stories and posts to engage their audience and create awareness surrounding ADP Canada’s campaign.


Overall, we surpassed our goals for the 2023 campaign, helping grow and engag ADP Canada’s Instagram community – and above all, showcasing lots of employee recognition and love from across the country!

Our team had such an amazing time running this successful, inspiring and rewarding campaign for the second consecutive year and seeing the endless entries recognizing hard working employees from across the country.
