Earlier this month, we welcomed Jennifer (Jen) Farr to our amazing team as a Senior Coordinator. From day one, Jen’s enthusiasm has been her most outstanding quality, along with her charisma. Get to know a bit more about Jen and her passion for storytelling:
What do you love the most about PR?
There’s so much that I love about PR. I think the best part for me is that no matter your sector or area of focus, you’re bound to meet amazing people and connect with leaders who often become lifelong mentors.
What has been your proudest career moment to date?
Working on the Toronto 2017 Police Officer of the Year Awards was definitely a proud career moment for me. I worked on everything from designing the presentation slides and drafting the nomination stories to writing Cynthia Mulligan’s MC speech and the winner announcement news release. It was a lot of hard work and I not only gained a lot of valuable work experience, but it was amazing to learn about so many brave and inspiring stories and to have the opportunity to meet a lot of the officers as well.
Do you have any secret talents?
I can fall asleep anywhere, at any time of the day, in any position, on a dime. Even if I don’t feel tired. I realize this is a total blessing and trust me – I do not take it for granted!
What does your ideal Saturday look like?
Curled up on the couch with my dog Gerald in my lap, binge watching RuPaul’s Drag Race or The Office for the millionth time.
Where would your dream trip take you?
Travel is one of my favourite things in the whole world! My dream trip is anywhere where I can meet new people from different cultures, eat delicious foods, share new experiences with the people I love and return home with a new perspective.
Who inspires you?
One of my best friends, Genia, who battles two chronic illnesses every day and is still a champ at everything she does. She’s my constant reminder that everything has a silver lining and that anything is possible!
